This is due to people no showing in the past who have not paid.
5 days to go! For those of you that are picking up your registration information on Saturday, we will be kicking things off about 10:30 a.m. at Putt Putt’s. In your packets will be your t-shirt, the map and schedule, tips and information for the day, and a raffle ticket for prizes that we will be giving away around Noon. Also around Noon we will be giving away a prize for the best bike. To view the entire route view TDW 12 Map
If this is your first Tour, the best piece of advice is to bring a lock or chain for your bike. Also it may be helpful to decorate or put something on your bike to tell it from others. Over the past couple years we have had several hundred bikes at one stop, and there are bikes that look alike, especially after 5 or 6 stops. For more helpful advice you can view Tips For Success form.
We ask that everyone remember this is a fun event, but it is also for charity, and that is the main reason we are allowed to flood the streets on bicycle. So please be careful, and respectful to others. Thank you again for all your support and generosity.
New this year we will have tags available for people who don’t want there bike back, and wish to donate it. Toward the end of the night people will be out picking up abandoned bikes, and if they are tagged they will be donated to kids without bicycles. If they are not tagged then the bikes will be held at a designated location, and you can pick them up on Sunday. The tags will be available the morning of the Tour. As always it is recommended that you bring a bike lock, chain to ensure that your bike is not taken.
We are less than 2 weeks until Tour de Westside XII. There is still time to register. Unfortunately we will not be able to take any registrations by credit card only cash or check, and only cash the day of the event. You can print off the Late Registration Form, and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can upload the form and email it then at least email your name and shirt sizes. You can also mail in your form with a check, but should follow it up with an email or call to let us know it is on the way. You will be allowed to pay by cash the day of the event. You can also call in your registration to 616-481-6606.
